        Awesome lens!

        I know a lot of people prefer solar assist, but let me tell ya you will not be disappointed with this lens! Even with regular use every day the batteries lasted for well over a year. I had a Miller Digital Reference with solar assist and the batteries needed to be changed at about the same rate, so really the difference was nil, and considering you get all the more lens space why bother? It's also much lighter that the Miller lenses, so that alone helps with the comfort level. I wear my hood all day long and often forget to take it off for breaks or other work related tasks. I love everything about it, and the fact that it has TIG settings seals the deal. You cannot go wrong with this lens!
