After opening and it expanded, I felt better as its appearance was just like the photo and it was in excellent condition. I let it sit for a few days (per enclosed recommendations) and it firmed up perfectly. I have used it since then and it is an excellent leg elevation device. The bolsters on either side, while short, do help my legs from sliding off. Overall, an excellent product and a very good value.
