      The item was new open box by definition, I bought this brand new, tested it out one time in my apartment then it went in a drawer, I'm sorry that while it was stored that the battery degraded. it wasn't until you mentioned that it wasn't charging that i looked this up and unfortunately it is a common problem. On top of it I did accept the return even though I don't normally accept returns and refunded you the Item cost, Truly sorry this was an unfortunate experience for both of us
