ProPinball collection a top value for little money.
I had some limited familiarity with these games when their demos were released several years ago and the full versions are even better. Let's start out with the pros first. Pro - The game graphics are excellent. Pro - The audio is really cool too. Pro - The ball physics are really good and that makes these games always fun to play and you won't likely get tired of these games anytime soon. Pro - You get to keep your high-scores just like the much-more expensive floor model pinball games. Pro - You have the option of using either the keyboard (default) controls for the game or you can setup your own usb game controller. ( i have used this many times on Fantastic Journey and Big Race Day ) Pro - the price has come down considerably from what it originally was and these days every ... Pro - they are ok for all ages with nothing inappropriate in them at all. Now the cons. Con - The game disks are protected by a software protection that makes it difficult to make backups ( copies ) of your disks. This is minor though because it can be overcome by using Elbysoft's Clone-Cd and making image files which can be mounted on a virtual drive and played without any issues at all. Con - These games can become quite addictive and you can lose a quarter of a day playing them if you aren't careful. So to summarize, these games are great fun, they are appropriate for all ages to play, the graphics are great, the ball physics are great and the audio is really neat, they are very engrossing and will consume a lot of your spare time if you let them. I love em'. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great pinball simulation game at a really good price. If Microsoft Pinball Classics were entirely the same kinds of pinball games, they would compare fairly closely to ProPinball's games. Hope I provided enough information for this review.
