    ProMag Beretta 21A Magazine

Right out of the package, the magazine was stiff to insert and would not release properly, I had to physically pull it out. However after inserting and releasing a number of times and a little gun oil it seems to be OK. It feeds the cartridges properly when shooting, so after the break in period, I am satisfied.

Not so good but terrible Magazine for spare.

Not sure if there are any pro's to this magazine. I oiled the mag really good and inside the gun to try and get the magazine to release out of the gun without having to use my fingers and pull it out. I worked the magazine loaded and unloaded in and out of the gun to break it in and still nothing. The magazine still hangs up inside the pistol. After close inspection between the factory one and the aftermarket mag there is a cutout that isn't that same size on the aftermarket one. I am going to take a dremel and fine stone and remove a little metal to see if it helps. If I ruin the magazine Im out the cost, but I can't rely on it anyways for a quick ejection so oh well. I will post on it if it works to fix the issue.

  • ProMag ber04 for 21A

Just got the mag. It looks pretty good, except the fit is way too tight. The mag gets a little too wide about halfway down to the magazine floorplate. Makes the mag release difficult too. Has to be pulled out, certainly not "drop free". I'll make it work with a little smithing. Can't crush the width. I'll have to sacrifice some metal thickness sanding down the sides, thinning the width. Lame product. Don't buy it.

  • They do not work

I purchased two of these mags and neither one would fit my pistol. They are too tight at the base of the magazine and have to be forced in to lock into place, therefore you must use a flat screwdriver to pry them out. I decided to sand them down thinking that what ever the coating was (bluing) might be too thick. This did help with the first three quarters of the mag; however, the bottom of each one still seems to be too large for the opening of my pistol and to remove from my pistol, still must be pried out once they have been locked in place.

  • Not a good choice for Beretta 21A

This brand of magazines did not slide into the Beretta 21A without effort. Also would not eject; had to be pried out out of the magazine well. Well made, but apparently no quality control as to fitting pistol.
