        Definitely a Leica product...

        This lens looks good with the TL series cameras... is quick to auto focus and is sharp and clear with the images it produces. It is small and light weight.. I use it on the TL camera with an optical finder which represents the correct angle of view....(the Olympus VF1 is for MFT 17mm lens is perfect for 23mm on Leica) and set Auto focus/ Shutter priority/ Auto ISO...It never misses on the type of images I like to take. I purchased the lens with the 'official lens hood' but prefer a screw-in 52mm vented style shade for my snapshot style photography. The f/2 works well in most lighting situations and produces crisp images... stopping down for shots requiring more depth of field works well too by switching from shutter priority to Aperture priority and selecting the desired f/ stop.

        Super image quality and build for the TL-mount Leica cameras

        As a 35mm equivalent lens, the 23mm represents a very popular focal length for street photography. On the Leica CL, you get a very compact, lightweight combination that produces excellent images at all apertures. Focusing is fast, rendering is excellent, and the build quality is typical of most all Leica products - superb. The lens is not cheap new or used. But in Leica territory, its price is relatively modest. It's much smaller than the 35mm Summilux lens in the line and less expensive. Image quality is very similar. I think this is a must-have for any CL, T, TL or TL2 user. Highly recommended.

        23mm on Leica TL2

        I purchased this 23mm f2.0 lens to use on my Leica TL2. First, it is quite a small lens that works well with the smaller size of the TL2 - very easy to carry. Second, the images from it are outstanding. I have yet to find a Leica lens that is not high quality, although always pricey. Remember this lens on a crop sensor camera is the equivalent of a 35mm lens on a standard sensor. Overall, I highly recommend it - I also own the 11-23 mm zoom lens, but it is significantly larger, and not as easy to carry around, but also a very high quality lens.

        23mm Summicron-TL lens

        I also have a 35mm Summicron M mount lens, and it is a personal favorite. The 23mm Summicron-TL should give me many years of excellent use as well. The autofocus is quick and quiet. Image quality is razor sharp at full aperture. While the lens is not as light or as compact as the 18mm Elmarit-TL, it is still quite light when compared to the hefty 35mm Summilux-TL. The lens hood is also well designed and attaches easily. I highly recommend this lens.
