Damage to the dial, not mentioned, nor apparent in the photos, is a shame. The watch remains decent value given it's been serviced, but I think a better description would have been "near mint apart from damage to the dial". It's clear there was once "SMITHS" in white text which someone removed along with some black paint around it. I should have spotted the lack of branding.
