      The item was packaged fairly well, but could have had more padding around the item for stability. The antenna was broken when it arrived, but the seller compensated me for that damage. I think for the cost of shipping it could have been packaged better given that the original box did not provide much support for the item. Besides the antenna, the device arrived as described and the purchase price was a great value for the product. Very responsive seller who is willing to help you out!

      Bluetooth connection issue with Samsung TV

      Apparently there is a fairly well-known bluetooth connectivity issue between certain Sony headphones (including the xm4's) and Samsung TVs. Unfortunately for me, the primary reason I purchased these headphones was to quietly listen to my Samsung television after my wife goes to bed. I spent a lot of time reading about different ways to overcome the issue but none of them worked for me. So I now have a set of headphones that sound great when I listen to music from my phone, but don't work well at all (audio lag and some very audible cracking noises) when I connect them to my TV. I understand that this is bad luck on my part ... but that doesn't ease my frustration. If I didn't own a Samsung TV, I would have given these five stars.

      Heads and shoulders better than previous headphones!

      Acknowledged generally as one of the better headphones on the market, I took a leap and got them at what I consider a remarkably good price. I have had other lesser cost units by Jabra and Anker, but these are certainly superior in terms of active noise cancellation (ANC), sound quality, and customizable features. One capability I really wanted, and you have to pay up for, is having the ANC work when the unit is either wired or wireless. Many do not offer noise cancellation when in wired mode. Have only used the headphones briefly so far, but am very impressed. The related Sony app is also very helpful in turning features on and off, and adjusting tonal qualities (via equalizer) to your preferences. In all, very happy with the purchase.

      First impressions not good!

      The supplied charging cable would not charge the headphones, had to buy a new one which seems to work. The quality of the microphone is terrible, which Sony should rectify a.s.a.p. Getting used to all other features now.
