    Delivered rather late at night. Package appeared to be in good condition. But when I went to insert batteries the locking tab fell off the cover - broken. Still, batteries went in and remote seems to work pretty well. I can use cellophane tape to hold the battery cover to the remote. So I’ll give the overall transaction 4 stars instead of 5.

    Disappointed ... item received has characteristics of Not being a genuine Sony OEM product, but an imitation. In comparison to the original remote that came with my Sony BDP-S5100 Blu-ray player, this item is lighter, thinner plastic housing, less durable lettering & numbers on - adjacent to buttons, lacks country of origin info (original has raised lettering "Made in Malaysia") in square on back ... AND this non-genuine remote cannot control my Samsung TV while the original can and does!
