I like to write on the tags with pencil which does not fade the way permanent markers can. Another plastic tag I tried last year had a rough surface and writing on it with pencil did not work well. Pencil works well on the Tagkrafters tags, and also can be erased if you want to re-use the tags. Also, my home-printed Brother*TM Tz permanent labels stick very well to the tags.
