    Nice Looking Guitar?

    Unboxed it looked nice. But after checking the guitar over and especially the neck I notice that after the 17th fret it slanted toward the sound hole. This is something that quality control should have caught. After checking with my straight edge and all the proper measurements (adjusting the truss rod and proper tuning), I decided to keep the guitar and not return it. This will be my last over the web order. Although the guitar plays well and sounds ok after the adjustments, it's not worth the chance of receiving another defective guitar.... I should have known better!

    Nice guitar for the money

    This is a nice guitar. I changes the strings to ones I liked better and it sounds great. Set up was great right out of the box. Nice finish on the guitar and the tuner comes in handy although hard to see. (Might be my eyes too! Better glasses.) Am very satisfied with it.

    Waited many years for this day

    I have always preferred 12-string guitars to six strings and still have my original Martin 12 string. Eight years ago however, the neck split at the base, so I put her back in her case and in the closet. Even though I couldn't play her, I wouldn't part with her in hopes that someday I could have her repaired. The reality however, was that it would cost more to repair her than to buy a new one... so I begin searching for her replacement. I'm disabled now and on a fixed income and can no longer afford an expensive replacement... So after doing my research, I decided on the Oscar Schmidt.     Worth the Money

    It's a pretty darn good guit as r for the money. A User's Manual would have been nice to have. I'm finding my Korg electronic tuner more accurate than the on-board tuner, though.
