    I got what I ordered. This was an excellent deal, I paid for the Tank Topper & it came with paper bedding, bottle, & wheel. The item was delivered within 2 days. I don't recall any mention of rust on the cage, but it's not really a problem as long as the hamster leaves those crevices alone?

    My apologies. I did not see those rust areas either until I packed it up. Try a steel brush to simply rub off. I think I saw it only in the areas where the metal connections rub together. I assume the black paint rubbed off a bit in those areas exposing the metal.
