Needs to be cycled a few times with blanks or live, and a little teflon spray for break in. LCP stands for Little Crappy Pistol. Just remember that! They are absolutely the cutest and such a well made mag. Too bad the pistol it serves is an absolute dog.

    Inexpensive magazines for Ruger LCP

I've purchased 5 of these total after buying the first one and using it for several months. I have had no issues whatsoever with these magazines after hundreds of rounds. They are exactly half what a Ruger branded version costs and perform the exact same function. They are not as smoothly polished and slick as the Ruger factory versions, but they do exactly the same thing with no error. I would recommend these with no hesitation. It is always good to have a few on your person to up your round count. 6+1 is not a lot!

    Failure to Eject

Of the three RUG 13's purchased, one would not eject from the Ruger LCP I recently purchased. After several attempts, it finally did eject only to lock in place again when I used it. Eventually found a burr in the catch that was to fault and once that was removed all is well. I was fortunate that I tried all three while both gun and clips were empty. I'm not sure if this was a normal thing or just a one off, but I will pay more for Ruger parts in the future.

  • Good but it may need some modifications

this magazine does what its supposed to but it may need some modifications. I've found that the plastic part that feeds the ammo up after each round is chambered needs to be sanded down slightly to keep it from catching on the hole that the 'magazine catch lever' goes into on the side of the magazine when seated into the gun. its a quick fix and if you are having a problem with the rounds not feeding up after shooting or are having a problem just from removing the rounds from the magazine , then you know what I'm talking about. The best thing to do is to get a screw driver and push down that the plastic piece that feeds up the bullets , push it down quickly and let it up quickly so you can see if it will catch. if it does then you need sanding. ALSO , the finger extension may need a ...

  • inexpensive bullet holder

Seems to work OK. Follower is not acceptable to use a speedloader without placing the first round by hand. Other than loading it seems ok and feeds properly. Certainly not the fit and finish of RUGER OE. Like the title says just a bullet holder. Spend twice as much and get a quality mag when used for CC. Your life depends on it. The review form should have a questionable quality box.

  • Not a smooth fit.

I haven't been to the range yet so I don't want to be too harsh. The mag accepts rounds stiffly as you would expect when brand new. I am a little concerned with the fit. It seems to take extra effort to lock into place. Maybe it will improve with use.
