    Well, being male, I'm not really concerned about how pretty it is. It brews quickly, the coffee is hot and suits my taste. Good enough for me.

    It's a little lighter than I expected but it serves my needs. The only negative is that the on/off button is directly under the carafe handle which has to be turned to access the on'off button.

    12 cup is only 5

    This item is labeled a 12 cub coffee maker but instantanly felt the carafe was about half the size of my old broken unit. Did an actual measurement of the volume and found it to only hold 5 cups when hitting the labeled 12 cup mark at 6 cups the carafe was completely topped off. After checking the water reservoir on the unit agreed with the readi gs of the carafe.
