    The seller is great. Fast shipping, etc. The tank, on the other hand, is NOT OEM, so don't expect too much. Expect extra work and extra parts to make it work. The outlet fitting uses smaller screws than your original, 10-32X3/4" instead of 12-24X3/4" that the original used. The outlet fitting is different on the inside, so you'll have more unusable fuel left in your tank. Your old filler cap won't fit correctly, either. You can't use your old clip-nuts for the mounting. You'd better be creative.

    1953 Ford tractor fuel tank

    Tank looks and works great. Arrived quickly, and at a good price compared to others I had looked at. Tank comes with a provision for a fuel gauge, which my tractor does not have. Tank mounts same as the OEM tank. Replaced the old rusty tank I had, also replaced the sediment bulb with a new one. Should stop the problem of rust stopping up the sediment bulb now.

    Good Luck!

    Get ready to be creative. Go buy new hardware. The front mounting bolt is the only piece of hardware that's still usable. Your gas cap will not fit correctly. Your fuel gauge sender has an indexing tab. The notch it's supposed to line up with is 180 deg. off. The rear mounting bracket needs a little hammering/reshaping. And it holds less fuel than the OEM tank. Too bad that this piece of junk is all that's available.

    Needs instructions re adapter, and screws to fit fuel outlet.

    The tank comes with adapter, no instructions or correct bolts.
