All the pieces of this one are thinner than those for the previously purchased bookcase, which otherwise has the same design. It will probably be fine for average-sized books, but not for the plastic bins in which I've stored a lot of CDs in sleeves. The shipping was super-fast, and the item was well packed. Oh, and be careful of splinters on the decorative top support.
