I had been buying the torpedo type pumps. The second one only lasted about half as long as the first. So, I decided to give these a try. The price is similar and I could adapt it to my wife's system with no problem. I like the fact that it has a strainer built in. And that the body is mostly stainless. I won't be able to try it out until I install it in the spring.
