    Best For Us

    There are lots of high-end Japanese knives out there, but for me, the Shun knives are the ticket. With a nice mix of stainless steel and carbon, the knives hold their edge good and don't rust. Another nice thing I like about Shun is the balance... they are balanced nicely. Also, they can be used with either the right or left hand (which is something a lot of knives can't say). And lastly, there is the money issue. Shun knives are priced very competitively. You can spend a lot more money and not get any better of a knife.

    A Pleasure To Use

    I've had my utility knife for 7 years, and enjoyed it. I bought one for my son-in-law for Christmas after he said how much he liked using mine. Since then, he has repeatedly expressed his appreciation of the knife and how often he's used it.

    Great knife. Sharp as it can get right out of the box. As I sit here typing with one hand, I can verify that. The other hand is wrapped in a towel. Cut me quick and I didn't know it till I looked down. For the money, as good as it gets. And as a retired chef, I would badbise anyone serious about food but this knife.
