I wish I could give 4 1/2 stars
Part of my less than 5 star review is because my expectation when buying the HW-Q70T is that I would be able to enjoy symphonic mode where the TV (a Samsung QLED 65” known as “The Frame”) would enhance the matching Samsung Q70T soundbar. I only discovered I missed the find print that I needed an EVEN LARGER screen to be able to enjoy the symphonic mode. So I’ll take part of the responsibility for that error. The subwoofer that is part of the package is subpar at best. I have it sitting next to me alongside my sofa and can barely hear anything from it. In contrast, I have a 10 year old Polk Audio sub that sounds fantastic compared to the sub included with the kit. The soundbar should come with the following tips that I am going to share with you: Connection to ConnectOne box: Do not waste ... The soundbar should come with the following tips that I am going to share with you: Connection to ConnectOne box: Do not waste your time using Bluetooth or even the eARC HDMI connection. Instead buy a digitial audio cable and don’t buy the cheapest one on Amazon or eBay. The digital audio cable uses a fibre optic means to tranmit the sound from the OneConnect box to the Soundbar. Mount it: I realize not everyone has the space or the means to do this but if you just sit it on a bookshelf or even a fireplace mantle (like I did originally) you won’t get the air flow that makes the soundbar valuable. I’ve just renovated the house I’m living in with my wife so I had my spaces all designed before the TV even arrived. There is a photo below where you can see how the Soundbar appears to float between the Samsung Tv and the Samsung Soundbar. I used the enclosed mounts, drilled a whole for a small passthru plate and ran the power cable up to where I had the construction workers install a TV mount and a power outlet. I did not use the included TV mount to give it “The Frame” look but wanted to be able to tilt and move it to the best spot because we have LOTS of windows and flat on the wall gave me too much glare. In theory with Dolby atmos, e-ARC, 5.1.2, over 300 watts, wireless subwoofer, great price, this should be the sweetspot everyone is after. But to be honest it is no different than a sub par sound bar. Movie doesn't sound anything close to a theater, and songs are uneven in equilizers. Would not buy again.

This is a very nice setup Center Channel provides all dialogue clear and crisp. This Soundbar setup is equipped with Q Symphony however it is only compatible with certain TVs and the Q70T & Q60T do not have that capability for 2020 models unless there's a firmware update for that. The bass on the subwoofer is good on certain channels for TV and on some movies which are recorded in Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital. You need to adjust the settings for the Soundbar and the TV in order to make it sound pretty good however when that is done it is a fine system. This is a very nice setup Center Channel provides all dialogue clear and crisp. One of the best bang for your buck sound bars on the market
So far, I've been pretty impressed with this sound bar for the price I paid. I wanted a newer model that had eARC and Dolby Atmos and most of the sound bars with those features are $600+. I was able to get this brand new for $390 + tax and then separately purchased the rear wireless speakers on Amazon for around $140 + tax to make it a full surround sound set for under $600. The sound quality is great, settings have been easy to use, eARC setup was a breeze. I definitely recommend this product but also absolutely suggest that you do take a moment when you set it up to make sure the settings are optimal. Not everyone is going to have the same optimal settings due to different usage so I would recommend simply doing a quick Google search for recommended settings for your usage preferences.So far, I've been pretty impressed with this sound bar for the price I paid. Great starter Atmos System in a small space.
Sounds great mounted my 8 series. Very easy to set up. Looking forward to Samsung possibly doing a firmware update for the Q symphony on a non QLed. I am adding the SWA-9000s rear wireless to get 5.1.2 This is a perfect system for the money in a smaller space. My room is 12 x 13. Corner mounted. 5' 3" to center of 65" monitor. I hope I can add photos later.
