        Not your little kid pencils!

        Very impressive quality. The pencil shafts are made of cedar, pretty fine grain. The color pencil component is a water color base. This allows for such things as correcting mistakes, blending colors on paper, etc. I tried a Q-tip with one drop of water and acheived very nice effects. Spectacular color depth.

        Nice pencils - great saturated realistic colors which are very useful. This set was a great value at the price I paid. I would recommend it. I only wish now I would have purchased a larger set.

        many possibilities with these versatile pencils.

        the colors are very rich and there are many different ways to work with these. you can use them the same way you would use traditional colored pencils, or you can experiment with different ways to incorporate water to blend, shade, and create washes.

        Takes time to learn if beginner

        These are drawing pencils that are also a paint. It takes getting use to but I do believe I will enjoy them once I get the hang of it. Colors are beautiful and the value is good. I do love Prismacolor products.

        Good, but...

        I bought these because I trust the Prismacolor brand. However I don’t see the results that I expected. Maybe I need a better paper, so the jury it’s still out for this one. It might work better for you and your purpose.
