Notes
Kerson Leong recently participated in the award-winning Tribute to Ysaye (FUG758). Here is his first solo recital for Alpha. The young Canadian violinist's career began at the age of thirteen when he won the New Talent Award at the 2010 Menuhin Competition in Oslo. In 2018 he was named artist-in-residence with the Orchestre Metropolitain de Montreal, conducted by Yannick Nezet- Seguin. An associate musician at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, under the mentorship of Augustin Dumay, he has already performed at such venues as Carnegie Hall, the Verbier Festival and Wigmore Hall. The Quebec newspaper Le Devoir, which has followed him since the start of his career, speaks of 'the purity of intonation, the brilliance of the high notes, the power of the sound... Kerson Leong has remained as brilliant as ever, but he has added a new patina and, deep down inside himself, a new class.' He plays a superb Guarneri del Gesu of 1741, on loan from a Canadian patron. Here he tackles a monument of the violin repertory, the Sonatas for solo violin of Eugene Ysaye: 'These sonatas are of course a big test... The music is highly emotional, pervasive and in some ways also very sombre, which makes it extremely powerful', says Leong of these six sonatas, which he frequently plays in their entirety in a single concert.

- -***9 (168)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseI had a wonderful experience with this seller! My item arrived on time and was very well packaged for it's trip through the mail. It arrived in the exact condition stated in the listing and was perfectly priced. The seller was also very communicative when I had a question about shipping. Thank you, ebay seller!
- 2***2 (160)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseFast shipping in careful, thoughtful packaging. Product matched the listing condition (new), but didn't match the listing description. There was an article missing; however, the item received was brand new in factory seal so I blame the manufacture for the error. Regardless, spoke with customer service and they were very fast and friendly in response. I've bought a fair amount of stuff from them in the past and can't wait to buy from them again. 100%. Great company.
- b***l (363)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseBought several items from this seller over the years. Overall recommended.Reliable as usual. All items new and as described. Prices are fair, and special sales such as a percentage off multiple items are always worth it. If you think their prices are high, keep in mind they offer free shipping and combine that with a good sale you're getting a fantastic deal. All orders ship within a very reasonable time frame, usually no more than a week to receive a package.
