The problems lately is that the Useless Postal Service takes 7-9 days to deliver from SD to CA, always later than their estimated delivery date. I don't know why the bother giving an estimated delivery date when they almost never meet it. It took them 3 days to turn around in the Santa Barbara USPS facility. The USPS is irretrievably broken.
