At first that one did not seem to work either, but then I got it working and it performed as expected. I was very pleased with the seller's responsiveness and service. The drive is a discount model so I understand that it may not be very robust. I will be happy if it functions for the occasions when I need it. Picture shows the drive that didn't work on the left, working drive on the right.
