You can make short work of the most demanding tasks with the Intel Xeon E5-2665 2.4 eight core processor. This can be a capable processor with a 2.4 GHz base frequency and a max frequency of 3.1. This CPU can boast eight cores and 16 threads. It has 115w of Thermal Design Power (TDP) which can represent the average power, in watts, that the processor disperses when operating at the Base Frequency. This Intel Xeon E5-2665 CPU can have the performance that IT professionals demand. A 20MB Intel Smart Cache can allow all cores to dynamically share access to the last level cache. The base frequency of 2.4 GHz can be boosted to 3.1 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost to deal with the biggest jobs. Turbo Boost Technology can actually increase frequency as needed by taking advantage of thermal and power headroom. This can give you a burst of speed when necessary and can increase the energy efficiency when you do not. Idle States can also help save power when the CPU is idle.With Demand Based Switching, you can have a power management tool. With DBS, the voltage and clock speed of the processor are kept at minimal levels until the system detects that more power is necessary.If overheating is a concern, you can have no worries. This Intel Xeon E5-2665 has Thermal Monitoring Technology (TMT), which protects the processor and the system from overheating. Along with the TMT, the Digital Thermal Sensor (DTS) can detect the core's temperature. It can reduce power consumption, and therefore the temperature, when necessary, to remain within normal operating limits. The memory can be ample at a max of 384GB of DDR3 800/1066/1333/1600 on four channels. There is a max bandwidth of 51.2GB/s. This Intel Xeon E5-2665 has Error Correcting Code (ECC) which can detect and correct common kinds of internal data corruption. Advanced security is included too, thanks to Intel hardware based security features that can reduce exposure to viruses and malicious code attacks when surfing the web or operating on a network.There are a few other types of Intel Advanced Technologies as well. There is the Intel VT-x with Extended Page Tables. This can provide increased speed for memory intensive virtualized applications. The Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O can improve the security and reliability of your system. The Intel 64 onboard can improve the performance by allowing systems to address more than 4GB of both virtual and physical memory.
