    Item was not as described but they did not know the condition of the item and I was not able to determine from pics. Lens was opened, parts removed and reassembled. Impossible to tell from pics what was removed. For parts, maybe, for repair, no way. Could not offer refund but worked with seller to come to an amicable resolution. Item was very well packed and shipped quickly. Responds quickly to messages and worked with me to find a solution. Would buy again from in the future.

    An excellent cheap lens

    I bought this to use on a Nikon D7100. I tried it out tonight and was well pleased with the results. If you're looking at one of these, understand this is a low end Tamron. There's no comparison between it and the SP line. But for what it is, it's a great bargain. Even in their cheaper lens Tamron has good glass in them. This is designed for a camera with a built in focus motor. On my camera it focused smoothly and sharply. There was no jockeying back and forth like it was hunting for something to focus on. The images were sharp and when I wanted it had just the right amount of background blur. It did decent in night photography. For what I paid for it I'd never find one better. Drawbacks? The only real one to be concerned about that i can see is the plastic mount. You don't want to bang ...
