The drive maximizes the data center footprint, offering as much as 766TB per square foot. Assemble several hard disk devices together serially, as the Seagate ST32000644NS supports RAID striping. In addition, it supports the BIOS used in both Dell and HP computers, allowing for use in most desktops where it can physically fit. In addition to the Dell BIOS, Seagate ST32000644NS hard drive units support Apple UEFI boots. Seagate Constellation drives support the HFS+ file system, allowing you to install OS X on them if you have the proper SATA driver disk. The ST32000644NS supports the APFS file system too, which makes your Constellation hard drive fully compatible with Mac iOS Sierra. Use the unit for storing video data to watch a number of movies in high definition, or download gaming software and engage in hours of competition with friends near and far. The fast data transfer rate is your warranty against lagging if you're a competitive gamer. The 7200RPM rotational speed keeps data flowing freely to and from these drives at 3GB per second.       This HD developed surface defects after some time using gsmartcontrol utility to check SMART data.

      This was re-certified hard drive ST32000644NS 2TB and working for awhile then developed faults. Same thing with 2TB Barracuda Green ST2000DL003 was very low hours as well. Just avoid Seagate drives at all costs.

      Works great but is a little louder than I anticipated. A good buy for the price! {Please note: if you're reading this review and the excess noise gives you cause for concern, don't worry. It is louder because it's a business drive for applications like data centers, so there's no acoustic canceling. I just didn't realize it when I bought it}
