He just slide it right in the channels however, if you ride with the windows down often like I do it gets blown out its track. please keep in mind. This is as basic as you can get. I just don’t know why the auto manufacturers are not installing and selling a full hard cover for hatchback and SUVs like they used to. I am just so not used to these things now being an option and a flimsy one at Best
