    It's really good trap. The people who have problems with this are not using the right bait. You have to use anything that naturally attracts flies. Think rotten food, or fecal matter. At first this only attracted 7 flies with grapes near a trashcan. After the fecal matter was added with an egg so it rots. It filled up quick. Places near shade had better success. Sunny spots work, but not as good if it's not somewhat humid.

    I'm a believer.

    It works. Had cheese sauce that went bad to use as bait. Thing was full 2nd day. Have yet to figure how to 'reuse' it, but worth the price even as disposable. Photo is 2 hrs after hanging. Made a huge difference the first day.

    Summer flies be gone

    Summer in the south is brutal without flies. These traps are a godsend. We have two geese and three young turkeys in the fenced backyard. So we have flies. We hung the traps on trees behind the fence away from the house and like magic the flies disappeared. We used fresh dog poo. I know, gross but so is rotten meat. And we have a constant supply. The Ranch Fly Traps are quite sturdy. If I can figure out a way to empty them without getting too involved with these traps then they should last through next season. If not the price is so reasonable I will re-buy. Thank you.

    Seemed like a good idea

    Guess I'm doing something wrong as I have captured 2 flies in 4 traps. Bacon in one fish guts in one cat food in one and lunch meat in one. Thousand of flies as I have cattle all around my house, but no takers.

    Not worth the effort

    Doesn't work at all. Bought the 4 pack and maybe caught a couple flies total. I have 10 horses so there's plenty of flies to catch. Baited as instructed, raw meat, veggie scraps, fishy catfood, tried a bit of everything. Very flimsy construction.

    If it came with an attractant, would be worth it

    Tried wet horse manure, tried wet cat food, tried wet horse feed, tried a used gauze from a smelly horse wound...nothing attracted a single fly to the trap - not one.
