It's amazing how much the steering pressure is reduced with new tires. It must be the contact area being reduced. Michelin tires used previously went 60+ thousand miles, used at highway speeds of usually 62 MPH, so this is likely a factor. All michelin tires used in the past look like they're very old when removed. Nonetheless, I've never had a problem with losing one in service.I rate them best value.
