The quality overall is very good as well, good value for the price. It looks just like the images, but it appears to have a tiny bit of yellowing, not something unexpected, given that it's used.

It loaded great, no weird sounds and all my NTSC-J games worked. The CD and DVD reader had no issues. Both Memory card and Controller slots are active. The Playstation was encased in a bubble wrap inside of paper filling. Great purchase.

And to answer some of your questions yes you can play Japanese games on this ps2. I FINALLY AM ABLE TO PLAY BERSERK! The quality is really pristine and the packaging was great as well. I do want to give a heads up to anyone purchasing no it does not come with any cables for the console or any controllers for it as well, but other than that extremely good for the price and the communication was great!
