I am 63 years old, I ride motorcycles and ATV's, I bought this to make crunchy bread and butter pickles . Last week I was just sitting in my living room and felt something on the side of my foot. So I reached down and touched it, I couldn't see it but all of a sudden I felt something warm. I looked down and there was a pool of blood, it was just coming out like a broken water pipe. I called my wife she was across town about 3 minutes away and told her I was bleeding uncontrollably, she said put a paper towel on it and just hold pressure on it, like I didn't know that. I told her to hurry because I was running out of paper towels, and these were the expensive ones the quicker picker uppers, super absorbent brand. And they weren't working, So I decided to get a Cannon big bath towel, Caught ... I am 63 years old, I ride motorcycles and ATV's, I bought this to make crunchy bread and butter pickles . So the towel is soaked and she pulls it away, then looks at me and ask if I shot myself in the foot? I just look at her and ask seriously, why would you ask me that ? So she says, You'll probably need stitches it's not stopping. I'm still working on the did you shoot yourself question, And I answer, hell no ! So she says does it hurt? I said, no why would it hurt ? She still thinks I shot myself in the foot, So I remembered my Alum, I had just got that day and told her to get a rounded teaspoon out of it, She's like what for ? I told her because I've been alive longer so just do it ! she said are you wanting this in water? No, just bring a paper towel and the spoonful of Alum, so she did and sprinkled it on the wound covered it wit the paper towel and it stopped bleeding immediately ! Awesome stuff, it seems I gouged my foot on something a day earlier reached down and wiped it with a leaf while we were on the ATV's and it stopped then too, wish I knew what that leaf was, But for now since I take a blood thinner I won't leave home without my Alum I put some in a medicine bottle, this stuff has been used for over a hundred years for shaving nicks and cuts, that's when I first remembered seeing it, in our medicine cabinet. However I've never shaved, just trim and I've had a full beard since I started growing whiskers. This stuff could save your life, or someones you love, So keep some in your Emergency first aid kit ,
