    Old school quality - Nothing beats GVG

    We are in the process of upgrading our in-house video studio to digital but the prospect of abandoning our 525/60 equipment was like abandoning an old friend on an ice floe - couldn't do it. Instead, we added a couple of TriCasters, one analog and one digital, to cobble together an approximation of a 3ME system. In order to provide inputs to all the switchers we needed DA units to spit the camera and other source outputs among the switchers. Some of these switchers and oter devices were internally terminated and that was a problem. Here's where the GVG come in - adding these rack trays and amplifiers gave us a bazillion isolated outputs to do with as we please. I've used GVG stuff for over 30 years - and even at the end of their useful life this equipment still performs flawlessly. ...

    Great Old School analog hardware DA. Like a Tank!

    I needed a video DA the CCTV cams and monitors in my production companies recording studio. I have older Sony PTZ cameras. They're also high quality but not HD. The video outputs from them are all hardwired Analog Video on BNC's. The GVA 8000 series was just the ticket. It's industrial strength with each of the 9 cards supplying 1 input and 8 outputs. These were used in many TV broadcast and post studios and have a 100% duty cycle meaning they can stay powered on 24/7. It also has a slot for a redundant power supply. This for under $100.00 dollars compared to Chinese imports with perhaps 2 or 3 inputs and wall wart power supplies with less that quality components and construction make it a no brainer. I would recommend this to anyone requiring multiple inputs and outputs that a total of ...
