    ALS patient & caregiver

    Kate (Hilary Swank) is an ALS patient and Bec (Emmy Rossum) is her inexperienced caregiver. Both women have emotional issues but they bring out the best in each other. Not for children (a couple of explicit sex scenes, marijuana smoking, and sad deaths). Ultimately uplifting and realistic...after all, everybody dies, and we don't always succeed in getting what we desperately want, but hopefully there are a few good friends and fun times in even the most tragic life. If you like this film, I also recommend THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN, about a skiier adjusting to life as a quadriplegic.

    10 hankie film

    I loved this movie. Hilary Swank's performance was excellent as it always is, but I loved her assistant and how thru working with HIlary she turned herself into a scattered brained silly girl into a deep feeling, responsible woman, who knows the value of life and love, and especially dedication. Absolutely wonderful film A+++++++++
