    Printer works again!

    After cleaning the print head manually didn't work my only other option was to buy a new print head. The print head is easy to take in and out (good idea on Canons part) so it was a snap. At a fraction of the cost for a new printer that prints on CD/ DVD labels this is a better alternative.

    The QY6-0082 Prints Beautifully

    Comes in packaging which is obviously OEM - Canon's official replacement print head. Easily replaced, but be advised you will need to grab the print head carriage firmly to slide towards you to in order to access the actual print head. Then rotate the print head 90 degrees, with the top rotating towards you. Then slide the print head out, and pay attention how this is done so as to easily insert the new one. I recommend one of the following: Canon inks, or G&G inks. G&G inks are my choice! I tried two other brands, and in using each, the head was clogged and useless within one month of use. Yes, I know how to clean it, but when the ink channels are compromised by excessive pressure, unclogging is not the fix. Replacement is! Prints just like new! Um, because the print head IS new.     Changing printhead didn't solve my problem.

    I don't know, is it a good value, or not, because it doesn't work with my printer. The old printhead is bad in color printing, but with the new one I can't print at all. I'm not a professional, so it could be my mistake also.
