I have not been in any puddles to know about water proof. The color is as shown. There is not a great insole for comfort, but I havn't needed to replace it yet. My feet don't seem to sweat in these and I am in a humid area at the time. I have fred flinstone feet with 2 knee replacements and these are a comfortable as I have found so far.
