      Amazing capacity and quality

      Got this battery for my T440 Ultrabook. This model has two batteries, one internal and one externally replaceable. In use, the system uses the external battery first, then the internal battery. Having a spare, fully charged external gives me over twelve hours fully functional charge. My T440 has an internal hard drive (waiting for SSD quality unit prices to rationalize) but no optical drive. I picked up a Samsung Blu-ray burner and it only draws power when active. Overall, extremely pleased with the flexibility and capacity of this external battery. Its size and diminutive weight make it a permanent accessory in my travel bag.

      Works but has the same battery as the 68

      I bought this battery hoping for a huge battery life improvement. Instead, it delivered the same as the 68 version, which has half the watt hours as this one. Disappointed.

      Allows all day light computing on my ThinkPad T470p

      PRO: * 72 Wh Battery has 50% more runtime than standard 48 Wh battery. * 72 Wh Battery is no larger than standard 48 Wh battery. CON: * Bulky, adds a huge bulge to the bottom of the computer. * Longevity could be better. Capacity declines too quickly with use. * Overpriced.

      Thinkpad forever

      Despite all the critical reviews of the newer Thinkpad T series, I had to make an emergency upgrade from T530 to T560 (and also bought this extra battery). All I can say Lenovo keeps the IBM Thinkpad Heritage and still makes perhaps the best notebooks out there. T560 is wonderful, battery life is immense, and with this extra battery I can work without plugging in for about 20 hours. Great for trips with multiple connections over the Atlantic. Highly recommended! 6-cell battery bulges a bit compared to 3-cell, but the capacity is much higher, and price is not so different from 3-cell.

      POWER!!!!

      Lenovo made three versions of the external battery for this series of machines. They are, more or less, a 23Wh battery (model 68), a 46Wh unit (model 68+), and this one, a 72Wh version (also labeled 68+, confusingly). This is the same size and approximately the same weight as the 46Wh unit, but has power up the wazoo. If you need to be away from your power source for long periods, this is the one to get.
