    Large 1820 (possibly earlier) Sea Captain writing desk was packed so well that it took me 30 mins to unwrap and arrived completely without mishaps on its long voyage to CA. Shipping costs & timing were very reasonable considering how bulky and awkward the item and accompany stand were. Might have a good guess to W.P. initials too--Capt. William Prouse who in his long naval career was one of the last people to talk to Lord Nelson.
