    Unexpected re-issue of valued model set

    Atlantis has re-issued this Task Force set which was originally made by Renwal, decades ago. Originals had become very rare and sought after, as a unique set of ships, which people fondly remembered as models and toys. A few years ago, the last few available second-hand sets were selling for £250 or more in Ebay auctions. The set is made as full-hull models, but with some care in marking the waterline and parient sawing with a fine modelling saw, the models can be cut down to be waterline models. The ships come from the optimistic Post-War years, and feature the interesting missile conversions of WW2 cruisers and destroyers, and the angled-deck conversion of the aircraft carrier, which has three fine aircraft.
