      You got to see this!

      I love this series! Father Murphy isn't really a church-made clergyman, but having been orphaned himself, he became sensitive to a group of kids who've just lost their parents, and the threat of being sent to a workhouse causes him to devise a way to appear as though the church is indeed helping these kids! There's threat, adventure, and many wonderful Little-House-on-the Prairie type episodes.

      Good value and well packaged unlike some dvd sets. My only complaint is there is profanity in a couple shows and they use Gods' name in vain many times. If I had known this I never would have bought them. Other reviews I read stated they were wholesome family entertainment but I prefer clean language shows.

      Father Murphy -Season one is an incredible and yet very true to life story about how orphans were treated during those times and the horrible things that people in high places would do in order to use them In work houses- even if it meant keeping them in worse than worst conditions of prisons and that’s what they did - until father Murphy came along and changed it all -Very honorable man and example he sent to the children and to all adults! very honorable man and example he sent to the children and to all adults Great storyline that follows one after the other excellent excellent material and programming and actors ! I would highly recommend it to any family !
