    Awesome speakers

    I use these as my surround speakers in my all Cerwin Vega movie room. They really bring out the life of the action with Crystal clear sound, no echo or reverb. They would also make a great set of speakers for just a bookshelf system, they get quite loud and have pretty good bass for their size, a lot more than I expected. I highly recommend them for either application and you won't be disappointed.

    Beautiful sound!

    I run these speakers with an Onkyo TX-SR876, and at reference level they exhibit no signs of stress or compression whatsoever (it is however, too damn loud). These speakers are not as efficient as other Cerwin Vega designs, but have an impressive mid base and clear, sweet highs. They are black boxes with a somewhat "pro-audio" look (though I quite like them). Build quality is decent, with a substantial weight. They appear to be 3/4 inch medium density particle board, which give a good resistance to resonance. Cerwin Vega specifies that there is internal bracing, though I have not opened them. Out of the box, these speakers sounded slightly dull, really tight, and needed to be turned up. Highs were clear though very slightly sharp, and mid bass and lower bass extension was slightly ...

    Excellent sound for a very reasonable price!

    I’m still in the process of breaking in my new CV XLS-6 bookshelf speakers....the quality of sound they deliver is very pleasant and very well balanced (highs and lows.) The sound dispersion is excellent. When compared to other speakers I’ve owned over the years, their sound is very detailed and that’s an important feature if you care about hearing ALL instruments being played on a well recorded CD or coming from a good streaming station. They are worth the money and I’m very pleased with this purchase.
