This is my most prized figure now . His large size making everything else so much smaller. The only problem I had was that the box was in bad shape when it arrived but then again ... it wasn’t a short trip

The weakest of the Leader class figures
Not only is it missing core features of the character (Ultra Magnus), but is the perhaps the most hollow transformer ever made! For me, Magnus has always been a prime like figure warped in armor. I like the Minimus character and this follows the IDW comic story. However, I still expected a deluxe prime like figure and trailer. I would also expect Minimus to be able to stay inside the Magnus armor in all modes, since his true identity is supposedly secret. Magnus looks true to character in robot form. His head sculpt is great and exactly what I would expect for this iconic figure. It’s a shame he lacks so many features. Design complaints aside, this is the cheapest made Leader class figure by far. Lack of paint apps is standard, but this mold goes MUCH further and is some penny pinchers ... Not only is it missing core features of the character (Ultra Magnus), but is the perhaps the most hollow transformer ever made! For me, Magnus has always been a prime like figure warped in armor. Lack of paint apps is standard, but this mold goes MUCH further and is some penny pinchers legacy. Hollow mushroom cap wheels, giant hollow feet, hollow thighs legs hands arms and more. The cost of plastic must have tripled in China! Looking at the figure from the back is especially painful and it is difficult to find any portion that is not an open gaping hole. Maybe they intended him to be an icecube tray? All expenses were considered too much in pose-ability and core functionality as well. wrist joints would have been nice and would have been easily possible, but were omitted. Same with a waist swivel, and ankle swivels. Light piping would have also been easily added for his eyes, this was also omitted. A detachable transforming truck, A CORE FEATURE, would have also been easily doable and was also omitted. Some features of the trailer such as allowing the upper deck to meet with the rear loading ramps do not work due to poor angles on the cuffs. The loading ramps themselves are also hollow on the backside. The weapons must be among the cheapest and most hollow produced for any Transformer in any price range. They are spindly and look like something from some construction set. Even the trademark missile launchers are one piece hollow molded with poor paint apps and Ultra Magnus becomes the ONLY leader class figure NOT to have a spring loaded missile launchers. The ONLY feature to survive is an amazingly well sculpted cockpit for Minimus. the chest fold and opens nicely to make for a great seat. I would have happily traded this for a transforming track and just tilt up the head and just slide the figure in. (this would likely allow Minimus to remain hidden in all modes as well. Transforming Magnus into truck mode does not do the figure any favors. More hollowness is exposed in the trailer bed and there seems to be no apparent flow in color theme. In truck mode the cheap wheels look especially ... well, cheap. The white truck is actually pretty handsome design wise. However it is narrow and small in comparison to the trailer. I thought this toy line and class were headed in the right direction. The leader class Megatron is an AMAZING figure. It looks great from every angle, has rubber working treads, firing missiles and is beautifully engineered. I did have some complaints about the leader class Jetfire, but no longer. Any complaints I had about that figure have been quelched. Jetfire came with a great set of weapons and the helmet mask was a great feature. DO NOT expect any type of great feature in Ultra Magnus. I love this character and my hope for a great figure have been met with broken heart. Thankfully he looks great in robot form, from the front, as long as you have minimus installed and without his weapons.

Very nice but a little unstable
It's very nice! His transformation is pretty straightforward, and Minimus Ambus is just wonderful. The only complaint I have is that he's not very stable; he falls over quite often if I don't give him outside support. Other than that, a great buy!

Ultra Magnus!
This figure is amazing. I've read reviews where people didn't like this or that, but my overall opinion is that this is a very nice figure to have if you are a fan of Ultra Magnus. It's updated, but still has a very G1 vibe to it, and having Minimus wear the truck as a suit of armor is a big nod to the comics. My only real complaint is the lack of wrist swivels, but there is an upgrade set for that, if you don't feel comfortable chopping his hands off and adding swivels yourself.This figure is amazing.
