The items are a curious mix of vintage (the black case with expected appearance and wear) and the spectroscope itself, looking brand new and not of typical British work. It had issues and needed minor repair. The refractometer serial # says 1950"s but shows zero wear and very fresh paint - with no case! So it is unlikely they are vintage items - do you know the history of these items?
