        Great reels at a great price!

        Shimano has always made great products from the entry level Bantam to the super high end reels like the Calcutta. I have been using a friend's TR 200-G for cat fishing and absolutely love it. It is an easy reel to maintain and they have readily available parts if needed. My friend has caught many 50+ pound Flatheads with his and has never had a failure. I bought three used ones and I serviced them with Cal's Star Drag grease and reel oil and they're ready to go fishing. I believe the original purpose for these was for Off Shore fishing but they work great for river fishing without the high cost. You won't be disappointed in these.

        Good reel but overpriced

        Remembering these reels from years ago, I decided to go old school and purchase one. The first shock was the price. Instead of the $35 to $40 range I was expecting, the best price I found was $85. I know everything has gone up...but double? However, mechanically the reel works fine. On it's first trip out, it handled sharks up to five feet. The drag was butter smooth. The only thing I'd like to see changed would be a larger handle. It just feels small for the reel.

        Conquers Cuda

        Just used this reel to catch and release two 4 ft. long barracudas today. It casts well without backlash and the drag is very smooth. I have 2 of these that I keep ready on the boat just for live baiting predator fish. Almost all of my reels are Shimano for quality and value.

        Super reel

        Great reel for the money. I bought a TR 200 several years ago with no problems. Just purchased a smaller TR 100 for a small trolling pole, and another TR 200 for my son. 4:1 crank ratio a real plus. Highly recommend

        Great trolling reel !

        I bought this reel because I already own 2 of them and have used them for many years for trolling with lead core line. Never had any issues. The reels are smooth and are very fast reeling in the line. Highly recommend
