    extreme weather pet door

    Installed the door, the door is a good product but the inside safety door does not fit tight.... my kittie can pull off the cover and get out any time she wants. so yes good door, safety cover not so much. Louise Clemans

    Not for a large dog

    I was sadly disappointed at the size. A large dog barely gets thru. I have a 100 lb Weimaraner. His chest touches both sides and top an bottom. To me me the door I received is more suitable for a medium dog. That's all

    Looks to be up to the job

    I wouldn't consider my carpentry skills to be any more than "general handyman" but the door went in without a problem thanks to the directions/template. I have the flaps taped open for now. My outdoor kitties have to get used to a new shed as well as the pet door on it. Hopefully the door/flaps will stand up to a Minnesota winter and the kitties all get used to using it.

    Good quality pet door.

    Door as described. I haven't had any strong winds or cold weather yet but it seems like it will work as far as the tightness of the door. Mine came with a piece of weather stripping missing but they overnighted the kit to replace it. My chihuahua was used to going through a pet door in the screen door and this one is a little smaller than she was used to plus it has the three flaps instead of one but it didn't take too much to get her used to the door. Yes, I'd recommend it.

    Looks very good installed. We had to use own screws and nuts instead of the plastic ones. The plastic ones didn't tighten very well.
