    The KNS needs an "8-36" hole but my 3d party, front sight mount, has something else, "#6-32' worked. So I've ordered an "8-36" tap and will rework the mount for the front sight. The "push pin" has been removed and a horizontal, lock screw drilled and tapped.

    Much better than a post, for me

    I have an older non-duplex KNS (prolly 20+ years old). I liked it but it was lacking in a way. The duplex was what I was needing, for the most part. I wish, instead of a duplex, that the crosshairs were as generously thick throughout. The duplex hood is considerably thicker than the non-duplex which does aid in sight acquisition but cannot be used in a perpendicular fashion as the non-duplex version. Of course, sight adjustment with either crosshair sight is coarser than with a mil-spec post because you have to twist the sight 180* (half a turn) and can't adjust in 90* (quarter turn increments). Still, a substantially better target picture at 100 and greater yds than with just a post.

    This is a plastic sight

    This sight is made of plastic. Fittment was perfect on an A2 but my groups were out of control, not sure what the problem was. I even had a devil dog have a go with it with similar results. Reinstalled the original post and went right back to 3 inch groups.

    Pricey but worh it

    I now have 3 of these. There is no better way to do the front iron sight. The crosshairs does a great job of defining the aiming point. I center the circle inside the circle of the rear sight for tighter consistent groups. I polish the flat side facing the shooter so that the brass shows through, making it more visible.

    KNS Crosshair front sight

    Had to modify a bit, but works well. Better than sights that block target. Like how easy it is to zero in! Should be a new standard, on all guns...
