It bends when you sit on it and when trying to get up off the seat it is so light that it sticks to your skin and rises with you. The hinge covers will not stay down either.. I was replacing an old padded seat that weighed probably 5 times what this one does and cost substantially less. I am quite disappointed in everything with the exception of the color, which is exactly what I needed. Quite a shame on the overall purchase
