    Love this scent

    I'd say this is a bit of a rustic scent. I wouldn't say woodsy, so much, but it reminds me of tanned leather and mulled cider. It's a nice warm fragrance, give it a try. This is my second bottle, my first ran out after about 8 years. I must say, the fresh bottle smells much better. I think I'll buy a new one much quicker for this reason. At this price, I can afford it every few years anyway.

    Great Cologne, Even Better Price

    All colognes are personal. The successful ones for each person work with one's individual body chemistry, so no single cologne regardless of maker or cost will successfully work with every person. Varvatos' Vintage works well with my body chemistry and in stores costs over $70 for bottles this size.

    One of my favorite scents

    I had this years ago and ran out and forgot about it, but found an old bottle and ordered some more ag ain, and it still has that delicious smell. It's not overpowering, it's very sophisticated and classy smelling in my mind, and just feels homely and what a good honest man should smell like.

    As with all JV fragrances, this one is lacking in longevity. It is otherwise an excellent scent and would do well in an office setting.
