    A very good Camcorder

    i love this camcorders. It has a very good picture, and audio. Clients love to see it come up. They always are amazed at it's look. It reminds them of the ones they see on TV. It has an hdmi port, with allows it to records to atoms recorders while using the tape as backup. The hdmi feature make it ready for the future. By the way what computer still use firewire? By the way, what recorder does not use hdmi now. This camera. is compatibility sets it apart. This is the perfect camcorder for wedding,documentries,events and short filmed. If you need a very good camcorder get this one. I will keep it until I go 4K, however, right now 1080 is broadcast highest standard.

    Great budget prosumer HD camera.

    Great budget prosumer 1080 HD camera. We do not use the tape, just output the HDMI 1080 signal to elgato capture hub and edit for Church Ministry. Decent low light capability with typical low stage lighting, on screen menu not an issue once you are used to it. Acceptable zoom capability, we leave all settings at auto and picture quality is good.

    Get more than you see

    The HVR HD 1000U is a pro looking prosumer camera that shows up on professional shoots because it output HD HDMI for your switcher or recorder. You can change the lend ting function to iris, zoom or focus as your creative needs change. Audio takes a manual setting or auto ( not auto only like some). Touch screen plus real buttons. Good lens, and the ease of shoulder stability . Very nice, and underrated.
