      Heart pounding thriller.

      What's good about this film is that it's a riveting drama about 4 men who take on a truckload of nitro glycerine in return for wages they may never be able to collect. It was made in 1953 but you can still enjoy it today. The language is mainly French, and there is an English subtitle track. With lots of overlapping dialogue in French and English it's necessary, but it doesn't deter from the enjoyment of the film.

      Classic film from 1953

      An absolute French classic from the fifties, later remade in 1977 titled Sorcerer or Wages of Fear staring Roy Scheider. I first viewed this film in the sixties as a child and I have never forgotten the story. It was great to catch up with this original version once more. Highly recommended.
