I am using it in its Steady On mode with a timer for Christmas lights and it remembers as it should. It replaces a unit with a similar model number that does not remember and plays a flashing lights sequence every time the power goes off and comes back. I also tried another version advertised as Steady On-only, but that one only illuminated every other alternating bulb of my light string -- it was Steady On but only for half of the bulbs.
